National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli has released an official notification forNIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2026for admission in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program offered by NITs and IIITs participating institutes for the academic year 2026-27. All eligible citizens can submit online application form at NIMCET official portalnimcet.admissions.nic.infrom03rd March 2026to till the application closing date01st May 2026for NIMCET 2026.

Eligibility Criteria to Appear for NIMCET 2026
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/ PwD) in
Any UG program of minimum three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects OR
OR
B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/ Institution
are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2026. Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted.
(CGPA other than 10-point scale will be converted to 10-point scale based on unitary method)
Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2026.
